Frequently asked questions.

Is the Free (open-source) version truly free forever?+
Yes. Tika and MarkFlow core are Apache 2.0 — personal, commercial, modification, and redistribution are all free. No cost for self-hosting, and community support is via GitHub Issues.
When will Team / Enterprise plans launch?+
Currently in development, targeting H1 2026 beta launch. Register on the contact page to get priority access.
Can I use Tika and MarkFlow separately?+
Each is designed as an independent product. However, thanks to MCP-native architecture, using both connects MarkFlow documents with Tika tickets naturally.
Which on-premise LLM models are supported?+
Ollama and vLLM-based open models (Llama 3, Qwen, DeepSeek, etc.) are supported by default. Any OpenAI-compatible API endpoint can be connected.
Can I migrate from existing tools (Jira, Notion, etc.)?+
Tika supports Jira CSV Import, and MarkFlow supports bulk MD conversion from Notion, Confluence, docx, and pdf. Enterprise plan includes custom migration support.
What exactly does MCP native mean?+
All tickets, documents, and workspace objects are exposed via Model Context Protocol spec. Claude Desktop, Cursor, and your own AI agents can directly access and modify Simplite data.
